About Simon Dewis:
Although I have worked for the same organisation for 34 years, I have the opportunity to continually develop my learning day in day out through the various and varied roles I have had the privilege to undertake during my tenure. This thirst for learning started to take shape whilst participating in my first Management Development Programme, as this provided me with the forum to try out and test a number of tools and techniques and as my personal development continued, I have been doing this ever since with every team I have managed.
As I tell every member of my team and those whom I have worked with over the years…”all learning is a waste unless it is applied”.
Whether it was my time within Sales Management that gave me the insight to see things from the customers (internal and external) perspective to really understand what challenges they are looking to overcome or acquiring skills in executing task on time within IT Project Management.
Every experience and piece of new knowledge I have acquired has all helped me to enhance my passion to become a better “team” manager where I aim to continually challenge their thinking about what they do and how they do it.
Working for an organisation where I have been continually challenged but also recognised time and time again for what I enjoy doing…..building engaged teams that deliver is a great feeling and a privilege.
